Piecing It All Together
I hope everyone had a nice Independence Day celebration. I spent time with family and hit the road for NY state right afterward to find more quilt shops. I visited three shops in Plattsburgh, one in Lake Placid and one large shop in Hogansburg near the Canadian border. Since Hogansburg’s Dreamcatcher Quilt Shop is on the Reservation, you don’t have to pay NY state sales tax. All the shops I visited are unique and I loved visiting all of them. The women I worked with were very friendly, greeting me as soon as I enter the shop and were enthusiastic about quilting. I want to encourage you to try new shops every once in a while to get a new perspective on quilting.
This week I review a novel by Emilie Richards that will capture your attention. You won’t get any quilting done until you’re finished reading it.
Until next time, I’ll be petting fabric in NH and Maine.

P.S. Thinking about a new sewing machine? Save a bunch of time, money, and frustration! The Quilter's Review Guide To Picking A Sewing Machine You'll Love will help you discover your unique sewing profile, test sewing machines thoroughly, negotiate for the best value, and more.
