Organize Your Travels
I love the Quilter's Tote Bag by EZ Quilting. It comes in your choice of two colors, royal or teal with black handles. You can see and feel the quality of this tote as soon as you get it out of the package. The Quilter's Tote Bag is made from a heavy-duty canvas of a strong man-made material that can easily carry a lot of weight and cleans up with the wipe of a sponge. The heavy black strapping handles and shoulder strap easily carry the weight of fabric and quilts. The Quilter's Tote Bag comes in two sizes. The smaller one measures 14 inches on each side and 3-1/2 inches deep. This bag is great for carrying around hand projects and tough enough to carry quite a bit of fabric for a larger project. The larger tote bag that I'm using is 24 inches long by 17 inches high and 5 inches deep. I've carried large quilts to Show & Tell and to the local quilt shop to work. I'm currently working on a fabric collage vest in which I've been carrying around just over 40 fabric pieces measuring from a fat eight to a two yard cut. This tote is wonderful! Pockets and Velcro and Zippers! Oh my! The Quilter's Tote Bag sports lots of pockets, Velcro and zippers. The center zipper runs around three sides of the tote and around the corners on the fourth side so it unzips to lay flat and wide open for easy access. This makes it easy to pack and easy to retrieve items. The front of the bag has a large zippered pocket and a Velcro ruler pocket that will carry a 6-inch by 24-inch ruler. The back of the tote has another large zippered pocket. There are two inside pockets that are big enough to hold a large cutting mat. I packed my Olfa 23 by 17 inch mat in one of the inside pockets. Some of pockets are made from the heavy tote canvas and some clear vinyl so you can see the items inside. My friend Suzanne Sangers was trying to figure out how to carry all her quilting supplies from her home in Florida to her new summerhouse in North Carolina without having to duplicate all her notions and without forgetting something. The large Quilter's Tote Bag is perfect for that trip. All she has to do is label every pocket with the item it carries and she can tell at a glance that she has everything she needs for her trip. I've compared the Quilter's Tote Bag to similar products from other manufacturers and wouldn't trade this tote from EZ Quilting for any I've seen anywhere. When I first got the Quilter's Tote Bag, I thought I'd only use it for classes a couple of times a year. I was surprised how much I use it for carrying my projects to teach classes, to open sewing days at the quilt shop and to retreats. I don't know how I'd get along without it. Questions? Comments?
