Quilter's Review Sampler July 19, 2004 Piecing It All Together OK, the holidays aren't exactly "just around the corner," but wouldn't it be great to get some special holiday quilting projects done this year? And you know that isn't going to happen if you wait until the holidays are upon us... So welcome to our "Christmas In July" issue! Sophie reviews two books of great holiday projects that will add sparkle to your home when the season arrives. More in keeping with the calendar, I review a great novel that centers around quilting -- a perfect read while vacationing at the beach, by the lake, or in the mountains. This week's tip is a long one. It's a follow-up on my earlier review of the Woolite Dye Magnet, trying to work out alternatives since the Woolite product seems to be disappearing from the marketplace. I'll be back in your inbox on August 2nd. 'Til then, quilt up a storm! ![]() P.S. Need to make an easy, charming gift? My new Charming Houses wall quilt pattern is a great way to assemble a quaint village scene using fusible web applique and 6" charms from your stash. You'll love the look -- see it here -- and making it couldn't be more fun! QUILTING TIP
