Quilter's Review Sampler
August 16, 2004
Piecing It All Together
I have to confess I've been kind of holding my breath for the last few days. We've been told that there will be a review of my book, The Quilter's Review Guide To Picking A Sewing Machine You'll Love, in the next issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, which should be out any day now.
QNM has over 200,000 readers, so I'm just a tad anxious to see what the review says.
But I haven't been just sitting here drumming my fingers. I had a great trip to Images 2004 at the Lowell Quilt Festival, where I took a really fun class on screen printing. You can read more about the show and class in my review.
Sophie reviews Dina Pappas' latest book, which takes her gridded-fusible technique beyond the world of watercolor quilts. And Sophie also reviews a new Piece O' Cake Designs book full of delightful applique blocks.
I'll be back in your inbox on August 30th.
'Til then, quilt up a storm!

P.S. Need to make an easy, charming gift? My new Charming Houses wall quilt pattern is a great way to assemble a quaint village scene using fusible web applique and 6" charms from your stash. You'll love the look -- see it here -- and making it couldn't be more fun!
